The Team
Dr. Stacy Blackmon, DDS
Director/Chief Instructor/Registrar
Dr. Blackmon received her B.S degree in Dental hygiene from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1991. Prior to that she was trained on the job as a periodontal assistant and attended Appalachian State University. What started as a job to assist with tuition turned into a job that opened up doors to a long-term career in dentistry. Dr. Blackmon feels strongly that if she had not received the one-on-one training and encouragement from her mentor she would not be where she is today. She also feels lead to give back to others in her community by providing the same high level hands-on dental assisting education within her dental assisting school. She has been awarded the Unsung Hero Award, Citizen of the Year Award and the York Electric High Voltage Hero for her volunteer services.
Dr. Blackmon is passionate about volunteering in her community. She founded a free dental clinic in Clover in 2004 which serves qualified individuals below poverty level, providing them comprehensive free dental care. This often then allows them to get back into the working world as well.
In addition, she works with individuals who are coming out of human trafficking and domestic violence situations. Her faith drives her to attempt to help those around her in need whenever she can.
She believes in the power of teamwork and her practice rallies around this idea. Her mission is to continue that mindset with the dental assisting school.
